For most photo shoots, I will follow my trusted format of Settle - Play - Pose - Rest.

On arrival, we spend about 15 minutes helping your pet feel at ease in the environment, with the camera, and with me. It’s vitally important that I earn trust before I start taking photographs.

At the start of the photo shoot, while energy is are high, we focus on dynamic images of your companion running, jumping, and playing. As
the session progresses, we capture calmer shots of them sitting or
lying down, finishing with relaxing portraits and candid moments.

As each photo shoot is unique, the format and itinerary are adapted as required to manage specific conditions and your companion's abilities.

Anyone can attend your photo shoot, and it's often a family outing
and it can be helpful to have two people your pet is familiar with. I will usually be accompanied by an assistant to help keep things on track. 

Anyone is welcome to attend a photo shoot, and it's often a family outing. While it's not required, it can be helpful to bring two people your animal is familiar with. I usually have an assistant with me to help set up and ensure everything goes to plan. 

No problem. Most pets, especially when outdoors, can be playful, and this can offer some great photo opportunities. If your companion is likely to be distracted by other people or animals, I will aim to conduct photo shoots in less-busy locations or at quieter times.

No problem. It’s not uncommon for dogs to be kept on leads during photo shoots. With careful composition and the magic of Photoshop, I can remove leads from the final images if required.

You're free to cancel your session, provided you give seven days' notice. If you need to cancel less than seven days in advance, we'll offer you an alternative date, but at this stage your deposit is non-refundable.

I offer a range of photographic artworks, including fine-art prints,  beautifully framed prints, canvases, speciality prints, and elegant folios. I also offer smaller items such as cards, calendars, and notebooks.

Digital files are typically edited and made available in your private gallery within seven days of your photo shoot. Prints and other artwork typically arrive within 7 days of you selecting your required images. Larger pieces of artwork may take a few days longer.   

Prices & Payment
Prices are valid as of August 2026. Bookings are secured with a 50% deposit, with the balance due before you access your online gallery. Gift vouchers are also available for full or partial payment.

Location
Listed prices include travel within 30 miles of Newcastle upon Tyne; there will be a small travel fee for locations beyond this.

Weather
If weather conditions make it unsafe or unsuitable to hold the photo shoot, we will reschedule your session at no additional cost.

Postponements and Cancellations
You're welcome to postpone your session for any reason, provided you give at least seven days’ notice. If you need to cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your session, we'll be happy to offer you a new date. However, please note that your deposit will be non-refundable.

Number of Images
Every dog and session is different, so I'm unable to guarantee a minimum or maximum number of images. The final number will depend on your dog’s behaviour and the conditions during the shoot.

Image Ownership and Authority
By accepting these terms, you confirm that you have permission to authorise photographs featuring all animals included in the session. The copyright of all  images remains the property of PET-ography.com unless otherwise agreed and all images can be used for marketing purposes by PETography.com.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to release the photographer from claims, damages or liabilities arising from incidents or accidents occurring during the photo session.

Yes, all activities are covered by public liability insurance.
